Course Objectives:

  • To acquaint different parts of industrial boiler with their functions
  • To learn about internal & external treatment of boiler water.
  • To enhance knowledge about Boiler control system, Standard operating procedure, Safety & Preservation of industrial boiler etc.


Course Content:
Introduction to Industrial Boiler; Constructional parts of an industrial boiler; Process symbols and Process diagrams; External treatment of Boiler feed water; Internal treatment of boiler water; Combustion and Burner management of boiler; Control and safety system of boiler; Standard operating procedure (SOP) and Troubleshooting of boiler; Boiler efficiency improvement; Chemical cleaning and preservation of boiler; Sequential logic interlock system;  Boiler blow-down, heat recovery and de-aerator; Boiler energy efficiency.Demonstration on boiler; Practice on process symbols and process diagrams; Demineralization of boiler feed water; Sequential logic interlock system; Case study.
