Course Objectives:

  • To achieve knowledge about different welding methods.
  • To be capable to differentiate between welding and brazing.
  • To gather knowledge about welding consumables, Joint design, Positions and symbols.
  • To achieve knowledge how weld defects are find out by NDT methods.
  • To be familiarized with welding safety and industrial safety.


Course Content:
Introduction to different welding methods; Familiarization with Iron & Steel materials; Oxy-Acetylene gas welding and cutting, SMAW, TIG, MIG/MAG welding methods, Welding consumables, Welding positions & symbols, Joint design, Pre & Post heat treatment, NDT methods for welding, Welding defects & their remedy, Welding safety and industrial safety etc.
