Course Objectives:

  • To know the principles and mechanism of chromatographic analysis techniques
  • To grow the ability of operational maintenance & calibration of chromatographic instruments
  • To grow the ability of performing analysis on gas chromatograph & high performance liquid chromatograph
  • To develop skills on data acquisition, recording & presentation

Course Content:
Mechanism of chromatographic analysis; Supporting material conditioning and column preparation; Instrumentation system of GC/GCMS; Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry instrumentation; Operational maintenance and calibration of chromatographic instruments; Common detectors in Gas chromatography; Technique of Thin Layer Chromatography; Practice on gas chromatograph, high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) and elemental analyzer; 

Gas chromatographic separation by temperature program; Analytical data acquisition, recording and presentation; Computer Exercise: Operation of Chromatographic (GC&HPLC), Industrial safety.
